to first start with benghazi. do you see benghazi as being a turning point of sorts in both kpozing the failures of the obama administration and also kpozing the influence or the lack thereof of america globally? >> well it could well be. you look back on turning points at the moment they occur and realize what happened. the administration has not responded to the attacks. he has not brought the people involved in it to justice of any kind. we haven't retaliated. it is over three months when four americans were killed. i think the lack of response, the lack of interest by much of the mainstream media, the lack of debate about it in the presidential campaign certainly indicate an administration that is very comfortable without paying attention to events in the middle east in particular, comfortable with the prospect of american decline, and comfortable underplaying the continuing threat of international terrorism. and i find that very disturbing. heather: disturbing when we take a larger look at the big picture and some of the issues that we addressed when i was introducing you. long

of subjects here and that one, thankfully turned out well. let's turn now to benghazi because you are very involved in this. an independent investigation, i know you read it, produced this blisser iting report what they refer to as systemic failures in the very department that is headed by hillary clinton. apparently the state department and, you read through this report, they were utterly clueless about the threats and dangers in libya. how much plame rests on the shoulders of hillary clinton? what do you want to hear from her when she finally testifies? >> well of course the blame is on the libyan terrorists and we don't want to minimize that but when it comes to the things we can control, our own government i think the state department and the obama administration as a whole must be made accountable. this was a terrorist attack that where four americans diplomats were murdered. gregg: should she want to know, should she have been involved in security? >> not only should she have known, i want to know why in the seven hours that this firefight took place why did this accountability revie

inchbored inch bureau after christmas. >> our ambassador who died in benghazi tragically was communicating with you. he was communicating information to you. it's a great loss that he's not with us. what was he able to tell you? >> he was purchase furnishing us information that he was able to extract from bits and pieces that was scattered all over the offices, and as he gathered this information he would make it a point to get a hold of one of us in the organization of the families that have stuck together, and we would relay that information on. possibly what we were looking for was who else was involved in the downing of pan am 103, was assad, the iranian government? we know that they at one time were very much involved, but to what degree we can't tell you, we don't know and i don't think i want to speculate. jaime: well, stan, the thing is, the lone bomber got a hero's welcome when he returned, and he's now died. do you still believe that there were other people responsible? >> well i think that they provided -- they provided information as if they were to cooperate toward the bombing
